Late Night Hot Stone Massage

Not only safe, but optimal. The heat from basalt stones causes your body to first warm up, then rapidly cool as the stones are removed and you wind down — this temperature regulation process is one of the primary mechanisms of natural sleep onset. Most clients fall asleep within 20 minutes of a late night hot stone massage. Book your session to end around 8:30–9 PM for ideal sleep timing.

Allow 15–20 extra minutes for our therapist to set up the stone heating unit. This is factored into your booking window. For an evening session, we recommend booking the therapist to arrive 20 minutes before your desired massage start time. The heating unit is quiet and unobtrusive — it won't disturb the peaceful atmosphere you're creating for sleep.

Light, breathable sleepwear is ideal — you'll have a light coating of massage oil on your skin that will absorb overnight and act as a moisturiser. Many clients simply wear their hotel robe to bed. Avoid anything tight or binding immediately after treatment as your muscles and circulation are in an optimal relaxed state and will benefit from freedom of movement while you sleep.
