Sports injuries disrupt training, affect performance, and create compensating movement patterns that cause secondary problems elsewhere. Whether it's a muscle strain, soft tissue injury, or post-surgery rehabilitation, the surrounding muscles tighten as a protective response — and that guarding often outlasts the original injury, slowing return to full function.
Massage for sports injury works primarily on the compensating muscles and surrounding tissue rather than directly on acute injury sites. Releasing the muscles that tighten in response to injury reduces pain, improves local circulation, and allows earlier return to movement. As healing progresses, we progressively address the injured area to restore tissue quality.

Why it helps: Thai massage maintains flexibility and circulation in the kinetic chain surrounding an injury, preventing the secondary tightness from compensating movement. In later recovery, gentle stretching restores range of motion.
